Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already arrived in Washington for meeting with US President Donald Trump. He is talking about this wrote on the official tg channel.

"Already arrived in Washington. Tomorrow meeting with President Trump. Tomorrow we will talk with European leaders. Grateful to the US President for the invitation," the president wrote.

He noted that everyone wants to end the war, but"peace must be lasting."

"Not like it was years ago, when Ukraine was forced to give up Crimea and part of our East - part of Donbas, and Putin used it simply as a springboard for a new attack," he noted.

Zelensky also recalled the"alleged" "security guarantees" of 1994 that did not work.

"It was not worth giving up Crimea then, just as after 2022, Ukrainians did not give up Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv," the president said.

He added that Ukrainians are fighting for their land, for their independence, and now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are making progress in the Donetsk and Sumy regions. The President expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to defend itself, ensure effective security, and Ukrainians will be grateful to President Trump and the United States for their support and assistance.

"Russia must end this war, which it itself started. And I hope that our joint strength with America, with our European friends, will force Russia to make real peace," the president emphasized.
