After the government announced that it will convene a"federal dialogue table" following the resounding defeat in the Buenos Aires elections, the governor of San Juan, Marcelo Orrego, confirmed that he will attend the meeting when convened by the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos.
"When the call comes, I will be present", Orrego emphasized in conversation with Diario Huarpe, consideringthat"this thing of national unity is a necessity, beyond political colors and so on."
The day after the national executive's proposal was announced, the governor of San Juan emphasized:"I believe there will come a time when it will be necessary, because we are talking about a country."
"It has to be a very federated country that has an inward-looking perspective. So, it seems to me that these types of issues are really necessary," Orrego emphasized, recalling that this"inward-looking" perspective is a historical demand of the provinces.
Javier Milei's decision was announced by presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni, less than 24 hours after the results of the election in the province of Buenos Aires were known, where Fuerza Patria won by more than 13 points, leaving La Libertad Avanza in second place.
"The President of the Nation also instructed the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers to convene a federal dialogue table with the governors," Adorni indicated through a post on his X account.
The President of the Nation made the decision to form a national political table. It will be chaired by him and will be made up of: Karina Milei, Guillermo Francos, Patricia Bullrich, Santiago Caputo, Martín Menem and me.
