Actor Michael Madsen, known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino on films such as 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Kill Bill', has died at the age of 67 at his home in Malibu, according to authorities and his representatives, and according to US media outlet TMZ.

Police found the performer's lifeless body at his home, where he was pronounced dead, after officers were called to the Los Angeles County home following a call to emergency services on Thursday morning, The Guardian reported.

The artist, who was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. local time, died of cardiac arrest, as confirmed by his manager, Ron Smith. In a joint statement with his other manager, Susan Ferris, and publicist Liz Rodriguez, they praised the actor's work.

Over the past two years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent films, including the upcoming films 'Resurrection Road,' 'Concessions,' and 'Cookbook for Southern Housewives,' and he was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life, they shared.

And they added: Michael was also preparing to publish a new book titled 'Tears for My Father: Thoughts and Poems of an Outlaw,' currently in print. He was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many.

Throughout his four-decade career, Madsen distinguished himself by playing often enigmatic, wisecracking tough guys in films such as 'Kill Bill: Vol. 1,' 'Reservoir Dogs,' 'Thelma & Louise,' and 'Donnie Brasco.'
