Who was known in the wrestling world as Hulk Hogan, passed away this Thursday at the age of 71, leaving a great legacy in this sport, as well as in the WWE, where he stood out for several years.

According to NBC Los Angeles, manager Chris Volo mentioned that the gladiator died surrounded by his family at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

This unfortunate news was confirmed minutes later by WWE through their social networks, where they sent their condolences to their family, friends and followers.

Terry Gene Bollea, known as Hulk Hogan, was born in Augusta, Georgia, on August 11, 1953. He excelled in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), which is now known as WWE. The legendary wrestler was one of the most prominent figures in this wrestling company, where he also won over fans thanks to his charisma.

The celebrity won six WWF championships and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005; he was a fixture for years, facing off against everyone from Andre the Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
