At the meeting in Washington, Volodymyr Zelensky plans to offer the US president a number of steps that will contribute to achieving peace and discuss their sequence.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed about this in Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

The Ukrainian team has already left for the United States: Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Head of the Office Andriy Yermak, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and some representatives of the diplomatic sector. They will have a number of meetings, the President noted.

The head of state said that he will have the opportunity to come to Washington and meet with Donald Trump on Friday.

"I think we will discuss the sequence of steps that I want to propose. I am grateful to President Trump for our dialogue and support," Zelensky said.

According to him, there will be several other important meetings - with defense companies.

Meetings with senators and congressmen are also possible. I will also have meetings with energy companies. This is necessary - this was President Trump's proposal - and I will meet with companies, because now there are needs due to various formats of attacks, not even those attacks that Russia has already carried out. We need to prepare in any case. Therefore, this will be useful, - wrote the head of the Ukrainian state.

Zelensky explained that the main topics of the visit will be air defense and Ukraine's long-range capabilities to put pressure on Russia for peace.
