Breaking News: The Tel Aviv administration announced that the Israeli hostages will be released on Monday. A government spokesperson said,"We expect the 20 surviving hostages to be released simultaneously."

Breaking News: Regarding the release of Israeli prisoners, an Israeli government spokesperson said,"The release of the hostages will begin early on Monday. We expect the 20 surviving hostages to be released simultaneously. We are ready to receive the bodies of the 28 hostages after the 20th."

The spokesman also stated that "Palestinian prisoners will be released after 20 captives and 28 bodies are retrieved."

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance also stated on a television program that"the hostages could be released at any moment." Vance also added,"The President of the United States plans to travel to the Middle East on Monday morning to meet the hostages."

Hamas had announced that the prisoner swap process with Israel could begin on Monday.

After the ceasefire in Gaza comes into effect at 12:00 on October 10, Hamas must release the Israeli prisoners by 12:00 on Monday, October 13 (within 72 hours).

According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Gal Hirsch, Coordinator for Prisoners and Missing Persons.

Speaking after the meeting, Netanyahu said,"Israel is ready to take all the prisoners immediately."

⁠Ceasefire and Prisoner Exchange Agreement in Gaza

US President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.

While the agreement was signed in Egypt, where the negotiations were held, the agreement came into effect in the early hours of October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.

Following the Israeli army's withdrawal from the"yellow line" as specified in the agreement, it was announced that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect at 12:00 on the same day.

In Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip from October 8, 2023, until the ceasefire agreement, 67,682 people were killed and 170,033 people were injured.
