On the night of October 10, during a massive attack on Zaporizhzhia, one of the strikes fell on the private home of the Dorosh family. The youngest of the three children in the family was injured and died in hospital, the father is in serious condition in intensive care; the two girls and their mother do not require hospitalization.
This was told to journalists by the mother of the deceased boy, Svitlana Dorosh, who works as a junior nurse in the department of bone and purulent infections of the City Hospital No. 9 of the Zaporizhia City Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The woman didn't hear the alarm - she was very tired at work, so in the evening she checked on the children, went to bed and fell asleep right away.
"I went to check: my son was sleeping, my middle daughter was too, my eldest was on the phone... I heard a loud bang and felt something fall on me. I don't know what kind of explosion it was - the first, the second...", - said Svitlana.

According to her, the house collapsed, and a fire broke out. She found her younger daughter Yaroslava under the rubble, while her older daughter, Oleksandra, was unharmed. Then Svitlana began looking for her son, 7-year-old Makar.
“He was immediately taken to intensive care,” the woman says.
Makar died in the hospital at night. Doctors said the injuries were incompatible with life. The boy's father is now in intensive care, he also suffered serious injuries. Svitlana doesn't know how to tell her husband about her son's death.

She said that the family bought the house in the spring, after her husband returned from captivity, where he had been held for three years.
“We wanted the house to be closer to the school. Makar went to first grade,” the woman added.
On December 8, Makar would have turned 8 years old.

As reported, on the night of Friday, Russian troops struck Zaporizhia with"shaheeds", missiles, and KABs.
Currently, five people are reported injured in the night attack.
