An Iranian official confirmed his country's rejection of Israeli allegations that its dwindling missile stockpile has forced it to reduce its launches, as the confrontation between the two sides continues.

In statements reported by CNN, the official revealed that Iran has changed its missile policy, replacing quantity with quality.

The same spokesman explained that instead of launching large numbers of missiles, Iran is using more advanced precision missiles against sensitive military and security facilities.

Speaking about Israel's missile defense network, the Iranian official said,"It was observed that Iran launched a missile, and the missile easily penetrated the THAAD, Patriot, Arrow 3, Arrow 2, David's Sling, and the American Iron Dome system, and hit the pre-determined target."

The Iranian official went on to say,"Israel should not be happy about the decrease in the number of missiles being launched. It would be better for it to remain silent and become a mere observer in the face of the new Iranian balance of superiority."

NBC recently quoted an Israeli intelligence official as saying that Iran is using advanced missiles with an interception rate of no more than 65%.
