"There was a strike on October 5 that was roughly the same in nature and in the choice of targets," the military man said.

This time, Ignat added, the enemy used virtually the entire range of weapons at its disposal: the Russians struck at various regions of Ukraine with air-, sea-, and land-based missiles.

"Unfortunately, ballistics cannot be intercepted where there are no appropriate systems. You know that ballistics are intercepted by the Patriot system today. And today the enemy used the Iskander-M or KN-23, as well as aeroballistics of the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal type. The air defense task was quite difficult - a large load on both people and the equipment that our sky defenders use today. And you see, as a result - today a large number of targets were shot down by fire means, suppressed by electronic warfare," said Ignat.

At the same time, he added that 623 destroyed air targets against the backdrop of such a massive attack is a serious result.

He added that the enemy is constantly improving the Shahed strike UAVs, which he began using in October 2022. During this time, the drones have undergone many significant changes, which affects the difficulty of suppressing them with electronic warfare means, destroying them with mobile fire groups, etc.
