Trump promises to call NATO leaders and the Ukrainian president to inform them of the results of today's talks. There are only a few things left to be done. There is one important issue on which an agreement has not been reached.

"We haven't succeeded, but there's a good chance we will succeed." Trump did not explain what exactly he was talking about.

He also expressed hope that the next meeting would take place in Moscow.

Journalists were not given the opportunity to ask questions at the press conference.

It has already been reported that for the first time since Russia began a full-scale war in Ukraine, a US president is meeting with a Russian dictator. On Friday, August 15, Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska's largest city.

The conversation lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes. Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov previously told CNN that Putin and Trump's talks could last six to seven hours.

On the day of the talks, Russian troops carried out a strike on a civilian infrastructure facility in the center of Sumy, and the strike caused a large fire, the city administration said.

"According to information from the Sumy District Military Administration, the enemy hit the central part of the Sumy community - civilian infrastructure. A fire broke out at the site of the impact," the administration said on the Telegram platform.
