If Russia gets Donbas, along with the territories that have not yet been occupied, then Putin is willing to guarantee in writing a ceasefire and that he will not attack Ukraine or any other European country in the future - according to sources in the New York Times, Donald Trump informed European leaders about this after the Alaska summit. US President Volodymyr Zelensky will discuss the plan with European leaders in Washington on Monday. European leaders have also been invited to the talks.

The Alaska meeting was useful and timely,

Vladimir Putin told the Russian state news agency. The Russian president did not give details about the content of the meeting, only saying that the meeting with Donald Trump was sincere and substantive.

“The United States is ready to participate in providing security guarantees for Ukraine”

– German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said after Donald Trump briefed him and other European leaders about the Alaska meeting. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted that

“The EU is working closely with Zelensky and the United States to achieve a just and lasting peace. Security guarantees that protect Ukraine and Europe are essential.”
