The Trump administration has decided to attack military installations inside Venezuela, and the attacks could happen at any time, sources familiar with the situation told the Miami Herald, as the United States prepares to launch the next phase of its campaign against the Cartel of the Suns.

The planned attacks, which have also been reported by The Wall Street Journal, will aim to destroy the military facilities used by the drug trafficking organization that, according to the United States, is led by Nicolás Maduro and managed by high-ranking officials of his regime.

Sources told the Miami Herald that the targets, which could be attacked from the air within days or even hours, also aim to decapitate the cartel's leadership. U.S. authorities believe the cartel exports around 500 tons of cocaine annually, distributed between Europe and the United States.

Although the sources declined to confirm whether Maduro himself is one of the targets, one of them stated that his time is running out.

Maduro is about to be trapped and will soon discover that he cannot flee the country, even if he wants to, the source stated. The worst part for him is that there is now more than one general willing to capture and hand him over, fully aware that talking about death is one thing, but seeing it come is another.
