"Based on very provocative statements by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines in appropriate areas, in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those cases. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump wrote.

Former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Medvedev wrote on the X network on Monday that Trump is playing an ultimatum game with Russia."He should remember two things. 1. Russia is not Israel or Iran. 2. Every new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with (his) own country," wrote Medvedev, who has been known for his harsh words towards the West and radical statements in recent years.

Trump responded."Tell Medvedev, that failed former president of Russia who thinks he's still president, to watch his tongue," the White House chief said, adding that Medvedev was treading on thin ice.

Medvedev did not leave Trump's words without a reaction."If some words of the former Russian president cause such a nervous reaction in such a powerful US president, it means that Russia is right in everything and will continue on its path," he said on the social network Telegram. He also mentioned the post-apocalyptic series The Walking Dead about a zombie-infested world and the so-called"Dead Hand." The Dead Hand is a computer system from the Cold War era that, when activated, could autonomously detonate all of the Soviet Union's nuclear weapons, Business Insider reported. According to him, it was a weapon that served as a last resort and was supposed to ensure that even in the event of the death of top officials, Russia would be able to carry out a retaliatory strike.
