At the Linz junction in the direction of Vienna, a truck crashed at around 5 p.m. The vehicle left the road and came to a stop in an adjacent field.
The cab of the semi-trailer truck was severely damaged. According to initial reports, the driver had to receive medical treatment from the emergency services.

Difficult rescue
The rescue operation proved to be complex. The Linz Fire Department was called in. The Ansfelden and Freindorf fire departments were also alerted, but were able to return shortly afterward. The truck was recovered in cooperation with a towing company.

The police and ASFINAG were also on site to secure the accident scene and regulate traffic. Significant traffic disruptions occurred in the area of the accident.
The cause of the accident is currently unclear.

Shortly afterward, another serious accident occurred on the Innkreis Autobahn near Sattledt (Wels-Land district). According to initial reports, four vehicles were involved. The Sattledt fire department, the Red Cross, and the police were on scene.
