BRASILIA - Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) stated this Tuesday, 2, that the text to pardon those convicted involved in the anti-democratic acts of January 8 is almost ready and should be presented in the next few days.

"I hope to present this bill in the coming days with a final wording for a broad, general, and restricted amnesty, so that we can fulfill our obligation," Flávio declared during a press conference.

According to the senator, the text “is about to be ready” and it is yet to be decided who will sign as author.

When asked if he had spoken with Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) about the matter, Flávio replied:"I'm sure that if this bill reaches the Senate, he will put it on the agenda. Regardless of whether there are opposing forces, who are also against Bolsonaro, we have to vote on it; there's nothing else we can do."

Bolsonaro is outraged by the trial

Flávio Bolsonaro also stated that his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), is “indignant” with the STF trial, which began this Tuesday, 2.

"He's there, firm, but he's outraged by this, which can't be called a process, since it was manipulated from the beginning by Alexandre de Moraes," he said, referring to the Supreme Court justice who is reporting on the case.

The senator stated that he will not attend the trial and that Bolsonaro chose not to appear before the Supreme Court for health reasons.

"It's a farce, it's a show he's putting on there. Everyone already knows the outcome, not because of what's in the case file, but because of the five justices who will judge, three are anti-Bolsonaro," he said.
