KOŠICE: Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are scheduled to land at Košice airport today ahead of tomorrow's talks in Uzhhorod. The Prime Minister is returning to Slovakia after a visit to China, while the Ukrainian President is arriving from France.
The airport was under strict police control before five o'clock. There were already cars with diplomatic badges at the entrance, where you can get directly to the airport area. According to information from aktuality.sk, Volodymyr Zelensky should arrive around 9 p.m. From there, he is supposed to be headed to Ukraine. On the Košice bypass towards Michalovce, there are police cars with their lights on at every exit and intersection.

The Slovak Prime Minister will meet the President of Ukraine officially for the first time. Although they have already met"face-to-face" at the European Council meeting in Brussels in October 2024, according to Robert Fico, it was"for 15 seconds" during a joint photo session.
In Uzhhorod, they are to discuss, among other things, energy infrastructure. Robert Fico will also meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko in Uzhhorod. The Slovak delegation will also include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár.
