Péter Magyar wrote on his social media page that Viktor Orbán's Gyurcsány moment has arrived, and we can already see the complete collapse of governance. In his post, he listed the problems that he believes Fidesz is trying to divert attention from in various ways.

Viktor Orbán's Gyurcsány moment has come, we are currently seeing the complete collapse of governance - wrote Péter Magyar, chairman of the Tisza Party, on his social media page.

In his Facebook post, he wrote: “Politics of appearance, hundreds of tricks, lies morning, noon, and night. We are at a point where Fidesz’s various announcements have no consequences.” According to Péter Magyar, these are just communication tricks with which they try to divert attention from the real problems.

Then he listed in points what he thought these were:

  • “The transparency law was not adopted”;
  • “They scored not a goal, but a huge own goal with the attempted ban of today’s event”;
  • “The false spy accusations against Tisza were not proven”;
  • “There was no spring cleaning”;
  • “Pensioners did not receive a VAT refund”;
  • “There was no economic take-off”;
  • “Inflation was not brought down”;
  • “Peace did not come with the election of Trump”.

He added that in addition to all this, “they are secretly putting our country even more in debt”, the railway has collapsed again, and the healthcare system is dying. According to him, the government’s activities over the past six months have been exhausted “inciting hatred, threatening, and harassing”. According to Péter Magyar, “unfortunately, even these apparent measures had real victims, Hungarian people who were intimidated and stigmatized, which is unforgivable”.

According to him, “Viktor Orbán wanted to harm others, but he harmed himself and his accomplices the most.” Finally, he added that in 288 days, these “inglorious” two decades will be finally brought to a close.
