Khamenei: Iran defeated Israel and dealt a "severe slap" to America (full speech)

Thursday, June 26

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in his first public appearance since the June 13 ceasefire with Israel, asserted on Thursday that his country had defeated the occupying Israeli state and dealt a severe blow to the United States, according to Tasnim News Agency.

In a televised address, Khamenei said:"The Zionist entity has almost collapsed under the blows of the Islamic Republic." He added: "I feel it is my duty to congratulate the great Iranian people on several occasions, the first of which is congratulating them on the victory over the fake Zionist entity."

The following are the most important points made in the Iranian leader's speech:

- Peace and greetings to the dear and great people of Iran.

First, I commemorate the dear martyrs of the recent events; the martyred commanders and martyred scholars who were truly and justly of great value to the Islamic Republic and served it, and who today, God willing, are receiving the reward for their outstanding services in the presence of God Almighty.

I find it necessary to offer my congratulations to this great people, many congratulations, first: congratulations on the victory over the false Zionist entity.

The Zionist entity was almost crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic and fell in ruins.

We thank God Almighty, who aided our armed forces, enabling them to penetrate their sophisticated, multi-layered defense system and razed many of their civilian and military areas to the ground under a barrage of missiles and intense attacks with advanced weapons.

This is one of the greatest blessings of God Almighty, and it is an indication that the Zionist entity is well aware that any aggression against the Islamic Republic will be costly and exact a heavy price.

Iran's victory over America

The American regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it did not intervene, the Zionist entity would be completely annihilated.

They entered the war to save it, but they achieved nothing noteworthy in this war. They attacked our nuclear facilities, and this in itself requires independent legal action before international courts, but they were unable to achieve anything significant.

The US President made an unusually dramatic statement about what happened, and it turned out they needed to make such a statement; everyone who heard those statements realized that there was a completely different reality behind them.

They could not do anything, they did not achieve their goals, and they resorted to exaggeration to hide the truth and keep it secret.

Here too, the Islamic Republic emerged victorious and responded to America with a harsh slap in the face. It targeted one of America's most important bases in the region, Al Udeid Air Base, and inflicted significant damage.

It is noteworthy that those who exaggerated the previous events sought here to downplay and claim that nothing happened, while in reality a major incident did occur.

- That the Islamic Republic could reach key American centers in the region and take action against them at will is not a minor incident, but a major one, and one that could be repeated in the future.

- In the event of any aggression, the cost to the enemy and the aggressor will undoubtedly be very high.

The issue is not about enrichment, but about Iran's surrender.

The third congratulation is for the exceptional unity and solidarity shown by the Iranian people.

- Praise be to God, a nation of nearly ninety million people stood united, with one voice, shoulder to shoulder, side by side, without any difference in the demands and goals they expressed. They stood, chanted, spoke, and supported the conduct of the armed forces. This support will continue from today onwards.

The Iranian people have demonstrated their honor and their unique and distinguished character in this matter, and have proven that in fateful times, only one voice will be heard from this people, and thank God, this is what has happened.

The point I want to highlight as a pivotal point in my talk is that the US President said in one of his statements that Iran must surrender, surrender!

The issue is no longer about enrichment or the nuclear energy industry, but rather Iran's surrender.

Of course, these words are too big to come from the mouth of the American president. Great Iran, with its iron-clad national resolve, does not deserve the word"surrender" to be mentioned in relation to it.

This statement from him revealed a hidden truth: America, since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, has been in conflict with Iran, and it makes excuses every time, but the essence of the matter is no more than one thing: Iran's surrender.

The predecessors did not declare this because it is not acceptable in any human logic to ask a people to surrender, and therefore they hid their intentions behind other titles.

This person (the current president, Donald Trump) revealed this truth and showed that America will not be satisfied with anything less than Iran’s surrender, and will not accept anything less than that.

This is a very important point. The Iranian people must realize that this is the essence of America's conflict with us, and that this great insult to the Iranian people is carried by the Americans within their policies. But such a thing will never happen, and it will never happen.

The Iranian people are a great people, and Iran is a strong and vast country with an ancient civilization. Our cultural and civilizational wealth is hundreds of times greater than that of America and its ilk.

- For anyone to expect that Iran will submit to another country is a false statement that only arouses the ridicule of rational and insightful people.

The Iranian people are dear, and will remain dear; they are victorious, and will remain victorious, by the grace of God Almighty.

We ask God Almighty to always keep this people with dignity and honor under the shadow of His care.
