Bodies transferred by Hamas may not be Israeli hostages
The remains of three people handed over to Israel from the Gaza Strip on Friday were not those of former hostages of the Hamas movement, according to the Israeli military.
According to the army, forensic examination has shown that the remains are not those of former hostages. The Red Cross has handed the remains over to Israeli soldiers. Under a ceasefire agreement, Hamas must still hand over eleven deceased hostages.

Al Jazeera: Israeli attacks and destruction in Gaza continue
Israeli attacks and destruction in Gaza continue, despite the ceasefire agreed upon between Israel and Hamas in early October, Al Jazeera reports, citing eyewitness accounts.
Israeli fighter jets, artillery, and tanks reportedly shelled areas around the southern city of Khan Younis. In the heart of Gaza and north of Gaza City, troops reportedly continued to demolish residential buildings, the channel reported.
On Wednesday, Israel said it had resumed the ceasefire with Hamas, after suspending it a day earlier to carry out retaliatory attacks. Hamas, according to Israel, had attacked soldiers, a claim it denied. Gazan health authorities said 104 people were killed in those Israeli retaliations.
On Thursday morning, Israel carried out airstrikes near Khan Younis and tank attacks east of Gaza City. Israel described these as"precision strikes" targeting "terrorist infrastructure" in areas still under Israeli control.
