Washington is putting more pressure on Kiev than ever before to accept the proposed plan

The United States of America is threatening to end the exchange of intelligence data and the delivery of weapons to Ukraine if it does not agree to the framework of a peace agreement mediated by the United States, Reuters reported today, citing two people familiar with the situation.

The sources said Kiev is under more pressure from Washington than during any previous peace talks and that the US wants Ukraine to sign the framework agreement by next Thursday.

- They want to stop the war and they want Ukraine to pay the price - said one of the sources.

A delegation of high-ranking US military officials met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv on Thursday and presented him with a plan to end the war in Ukraine.

The portal"Axios" announced today that the President of the United States of America Donald Trump presented a peace plan for Ukraine and Russia which, among other things, contains 28 points, which foresees that Ukraine give up the territories controlled by Russia, limit the army and formally renounce its membership in NATO.

A day earlier, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt clarified that Washington is holding talks with both countries.

American media reported on Wednesday, citing sources, that the plan was developed by American and Russian officials, and according to unofficial data, the envoy of the Russian president, Kirill Dmitriyev, participated in its creation.

According to NBC, special US envoy Steve Witkoff, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner participated in the drafting of the document.

Zelensky: Ukraine is trying to get the US to take into account its national interests in the peace plan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Ukraine is working to ensure that its national interests are taken into account in the plan to end the war with Russia supported by US President Donald Trump.

"Now, practically every hour, there are meetings, phone conversations and work on issues that can change a lot. The result must be a dignified peace," Zelensky wrote on the Telegram channel, Reuters reports.
