AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made a statement in front of the party headquarters regarding the Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) Meeting chaired by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Ömer Çelik stated that Konya's Seydişehir Mayor Hasan Ustaoğlu and Emirgazi Mayor Mesut Mertcan joined the AK Party in the Central Executive Committee.

Çelik, noting that President Erdoğan pinned badges on the mayors, said,"We welcome our mayors to our ever-growing family. The participation of our council members and mayors from other parties will continue in the coming days."

Çelik said that the Local Governments Presidency and the Ministry of National Education made presentations at the MKYK, and that a presentation was also made regarding the work of the Parliament.

With the start of the academic year, our Youth Branches organized an event called"Empty Desks" to once again draw attention to the children who were bombed and killed there. This event demonstrated once again how, while all children in Gaza, and the world, have rights that are considered natural, spontaneous, and quite natural, the children of Gaza are being deprived of these by the genocidal gang in Israel. We congratulate our Youth Branches who organized this event in all our provinces and districts. We have been saying from the beginning that this will embarrass those who speak of 'only Israel's right to defend itself,' and that it will reach a point where it will put them in a very difficult position. Because from the very beginning, Netanyahu, the leader of this network, has been talking about the establishment of the David Corridor and changing the maps in the Middle East. Just as this aggression spread to Syria, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, finally an attack was also carried out in the land of our friend and brother, Qatar.

ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON QATAR

Spokesperson Çelik stated that the attack in Qatar had extremely exceptional characteristics.

Recalling that the Israeli propaganda machine has consistently said for months, weeks, and years that Hamas is not willing to negotiate or agree to a ceasefire, and that it is not in favor of peace, Çelik emphasized that Hamas has demonstrated its will, is open to negotiation, and can accept legitimate terms from the very beginning, despite the Israeli side constantly imposing unfair and unjust conditions.

Ömer Çelik, who explained that Hamas responded positively whenever a call for negotiations was made, said:

The Hamas negotiating team had decided to hold a meeting to discuss these conditions. This meeting, which was directly aimed at evaluating peace and ceasefire negotiations, was targeted by Israel in another country's territory, Qatar. This demonstrated once again that the genocidal network recognizes no rules and, with this disregard for rules, adopts insidious approaches that even ensnare the negotiating team. This barbaric act of terrorism perpetrated by Israel in Qatar is an attack on all countries seeking peace and a ceasefire. It has been seen once again that the most dominant actor threatening the global system, international law, and national security today is the Netanyahu network. It has been clearly demonstrated that there is no platform for discussing other issues without stopping the Netanyahu network and prosecuting it before the law. It has directly attacked negotiations, diplomacy, the ceasefire process, and the call of the international community.

ATTACKS ON THE SUMUD FLEET

Recalling that Israel twice attacked the Sumud Flotilla, which had set out to raise humanitarian awareness against the situation where hunger and famine were used as weapons, and which had been made part of the Zionist and genocidal policies in Gaza by people from various families, countries, and places of humanity, Çelik emphasized that Netanyahu's genocidal network was waiting for an opportunity to attack all humanitarian activities and humanitarian stances, and that this situation must be prevented by the international community and an international will.

Çelik, noting that one of the main agenda items of the Central Executive Committee (MKYK) meeting was the"Terrorism-Free Turkey" process, said,"A commission is working in Parliament. As the People's Alliance, we are keeping this will alive, but we're not just keeping it alive; we're making the necessary efforts to achieve its goals, and if that's not enough, we're doing the necessary work. Of course, we're fully monitoring the agenda, both in terms of domestic political rhetoric and external approaches, including attempts to mislead us and make us vulnerable to sabotage and infection."

Çelik said that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at the meeting, stated,"Some people will not be allowed to create a shift in focus by trying to shift the commission or the Terror-Free Türkiye to an agenda other than the dissolution of the PKK and disarmament."

Çelik stated that the agenda is to dissolve the terrorist organization PKK with all its extensions, lay down its arms, and burn and destroy its weapons, and continued:

Furthermore, we must not allow maximalist demands, other agendas, or other agendas to infect this area in any way, create a loss of focus, or lead to consequences such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, political myopia or political hyperopia. The focus is clear, the agenda is clear. As a state policy, all relevant institutions are doing their part. Similarly, Parliament is also involved. Approaches outside of this will not contribute to this process in any way. We also see what is being done in terms of the language used and the polemics being generated. In other words, we are closely monitoring certain approaches that aim to weaken, delay, postpone, or divert the disarmament process, instead of actively advancing this Terror-Free Turkey agenda, and instead use it as leverage for other agendas. But of course, there are responses to all of these, and evaluations to be made regarding all of them. The key is to maintain this focus.

Çelik stated that national security assessments have not been abandoned while managing the Terror-Free Turkey process, saying, “We are seeing the activity of various terrorist organizations in the surrounding regions, both in Syria and Iraq. Looking ahead, we are also seeing the activities of countries, groups, and shadowy centers that are seeking to establish terrorist statehoods to impose political projects that are detrimental to the region, with which states and intelligence agencies, or who seek to use terrorism as an instrument in their own proxy wars. We will respond to all of this by keeping our agenda and political agenda clear, continuing to implement our action plan clearly, and protecting our political discourse from all these infections and sabotage activities.”

Çelik stated that they will continue their efforts to clearly protect the entire framework initiated by the People's Alliance, strengthened by supporting political parties, and made state policy by President Erdoğan's instructions, to achieve the goals of a Terror-Free Turkey. Çelik said,"Undoubtedly, the steps taken to ensure the terrorist organization's dissolution and disarmament must continue uninterrupted. Continuing these uninterrupted steps will lead to further positive steps."

Çelik stated that the terrorist organization's disarmament would have positive repercussions both in terms of state policy and the work in Parliament, adding,"The main issue that needs to be monitored here is the uninterrupted continuation and completion of the termination and disarmament process."

Çelik, noting that the Medium Term Program (MTP) announced by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz was also on the meeting agenda, continued as follows:

The details contained in the Medium Term Program (MTP) are extremely valuable for our country to achieve its economic goals, as well as for the Turkish economy to continue on its path prepared for all these shocks during this turbulent period the world is going through. As a party, we are closely evaluating all the elements outlined in this program. It is a truly multi-dimensional, comprehensive program that not only addresses the technical aspects of the economy but also encompasses sociological aspects. It will create positive changes in social policies going forward and increase the oxygen in the political system related to our political life. I would like to reiterate that we support it, are following it, and are working with parties on its elements.

"Türkiye IS A SOVEREIGN AND POWERFUL COUNTRY"

Ömer Çelik, in response to a press member's question,"You mentioned the attacks in Qatar. An Israeli journalist also said, 'Turkey is in the final round,' and Israel has carried out attacks in many regions since October 7th. So, what would Türkiye's stance be if Israel dared to do this?", responded as follows:

We shouldn't pay attention to agenda items like"this place will attack Türkiye" or "that place will attack Turkey." Turkey is a sovereign and powerful country. That journalist here said something against Türkiye, that politician here said something against Türkiye. In fact, even considering these things is a waste of time regarding the agenda of this great country and results in giving these people more space than necessary and making them the agenda more than necessary. The Republic of Turkey is no one's enemy, but the whole world knows that the Republic of Turkey's national security is non-negotiable, that the defense of its homeland is non-negotiable, and how much the Republic of Turkey complies with international law and the international community in both its fight against terrorism and its security. In this context, threats from certain countries, from their politicians or activists, are of no value to us. All of these are null and void.

They're also saying this about our President. Essentially, if these evil networks praise us, it's a state of alarm. In other words, we'll be on high alert, wondering what we did wrong that led to these evil networks praising us. Otherwise, we have no say in any threats these evil networks, these dark forces, make against our President, against our Turkey.

Çelik suggested that instead of discussing issues like,"This person threatened Türkiye, this threatening language was used against Türkiye, or this person was targeted," it would be a better and more accurate approach to discuss the steps Türkiye has taken to bring peace to the region and stop this genocidal network, and noted the following:

"We are doing this politically. Throughout history, our country has been threatened many times. One of the historic responses to these threats is the words of our country's founder, Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who said, 'They will go as they came.' Our current President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said, 'We can come suddenly one night.' As I said, Türkiye is no one's enemy, no threat to anyone. But it has the capacity and means to give every powerful response to those who harbor hostility towards Türkiye, those who try to pose a threat to it. What we oppose is the genocidal network. We oppose crimes against humanity. We speak out against the refusal to stop the killing of women and children by state terrorism."

CHP'S CONGRESS CASE

When asked about his assessments regarding the annulment case regarding the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress and the precautionary suspension of the chairman and management elected at the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress, Çelik said that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and the party management acted as if this was a process between them and the government.

Çelik, stating that the incident came to light following complaints from some CHP members, said,"What did the CHP members do? They claimed that some CHP members were involved in scandals, corruption, and irregularities. Then, individuals who had previously served as mayors and council members within the CHP filed criminal complaints with the judiciary regarding these allegations. All of those filing complaints are CHP members, and all of those accused are CHP members. Therefore, the emergence of these issues emerged as a result of discussions within the CHP. We are not involved in any of this. We neither brought these allegations forward nor filed a lawsuit regarding these allegations. We heard these allegations from CHP members."

Çelik, who explained that some former CHP provincial chairs, party executives and mayors had made statements saying,"There is corruption in the party," noted the following:

Your other colleagues are being accused. You will bring this before you and evaluate it. What are they doing to cover up their failure to do this? They are blaming the AK Party, the People's Alliance, and our President. But this is a cover-up. They are still not facing the real agenda. Therefore, what the CHP Chairman and the CHP administration must do is this: What are your opinions on these issues raised by your CHP friends? Come out and make a comprehensive statement to the public. The debate being conducted here is a cover-up. We are not part of this, there is no AK Party, no People's Alliance, no President, no Presidential Cabinet. Let's put the matter in its proper place.

Çelik emphasized that the greatest injustice is being done to the nation, saying,"In the face of something that pollutes the political institution, the CHP is trying to call the public to the streets instead of waging a fight against the pollution brought up by the political institution's own cronies. Now, you haven't resolved your own issue, and you're trying to cover up your inability to resolve your own issue, your incompetence, by calling the public to the streets. This is now an injustice being done to our nation and the political institution."

Çelik stated that any group or party committing irregularities in its congresses or other processes, and any allegation of such an act, is a situation that endangers the security of civilian politics, and made the following statements:

We all need to be sensitive to this issue. In the past, threats to civilian politics came from coups, postmodern coups, and various tutelary formations. The security of civilian politics must be protected not only from external but also from internal threats. If such factions and groups within a party are true or not, as claimed, the judicial process will inevitably determine whether they are true. If such situations exist, this concerns all of politics. Political security is the foremost principle of the nation's overall security. Just as we do not allow political security to be threatened from outside, we must also not allow the internal corruption or disarray of parties to be threatened.

Çelik, noting that CHP Chairman Özel had said,"The AK Party is trying to create chaos within us, creating discord," continued,"Has any AK Party member been appointed there today? It's CHP members again, friends you've walked the same path with. The second greatest injustice is being inflicted on our citizens who voted for and supported the CHP. Bringing such a deeply rooted party, which they voted for and supported, into this state, acting as if unaware of all this, and still failing to take necessary action, is a responsibility of these administrators to CHP voters and a disgrace to them. Therefore, the fundamental issue must be addressed from the perspective of all party members and the security of politics."

When asked about some countries' statements that they would recognize Palestine, Çelik said,"Recognizing the State of Palestine is actually one of the greatest responses given to this genocidal network."

Çelik, emphasizing that humanity is not a slave to the genocidal network and the occupier's approach, said,"Today, recognizing the State of Palestine means responding to the genocidal network in the name of humanity. The most important indicator that humanity is greater than the politics of genocide and Zionist occupation is the recognition of the State of Palestine. Therefore, we find these recognitions, which will be made in September, extremely valuable. We congratulate Spanish Prime Minister Mr. Sanchez, who has made the most accurate and effective statements in the West, especially since the very beginning. Mr. Sanchez's words are truly those of someone who speaks on behalf of humanity."

Çelik emphasized that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been the "greatest spokesperson of the alliance of humanity" from the very beginning, and stated the following:

"Years ago, when he showed that map and showed how Palestinian lands were occupied, there was a cold front among the representatives of the major countries in the General Assembly. But today, the words our President spoke years ago have become the foundational foundation of the Palestinian cause. That's why the other name for the Palestinian cause is the cause of humanity. Recognizing the State of Palestine is a nod to the alliance of humanity, something that strengthens the alliance of humanity."

"CHILDREN DRAWN TO CRIME" DISCUSSIONS

Çelik stated that they found MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statement regarding children being pushed into crime "extremely sensitive and important."

Çelik stated that concepts such as "juvenile delinquent" or "child pushed into crime" overshadow the concept of children, who should be remembered with innocence, and that expressions such as"children who commit crimes" or "children who commit crimes at a young age" should be preferred instead.

Omer Celik continued:

"The entire network, the connection, the mentality behind those who murder innocent children, like that murderer who martyred our police officers, or Ahmet Minguzzi, our brother in Ankara, who, of course, motivate them and raise them as criminal machines, must be unraveled. Our Minister of the Interior is conducting a comprehensive study on what needs to be done in terms of security. Cybercrime has determined that some of the social media accounts they use are actually set up to lure these children into crime and organize them into members of a terrorist organization or gang. But of course, this network is so widespread that two social media platforms, whose names I won't mention now, stand out in this regard. Therefore, our Minister of the Interior will present this study to our party for consideration soon. Our Minister of Justice also announced that they are also working on the need for legal regulation and updating of legal regulations regarding this matter."

AK Party Spokesperson Çelik stated that efforts are underway to develop legal regulations regarding children pushed into crime, that the regulations will protect the achievements of universal law, but that those who show no remorse for serious crimes such as"terrorist acts and murder" will no longer be considered "children."

In response to a question, Çelik stated that it was not their business to decide who would be in the CHP administration, and continued:

Whether it's Person A or Person B is none of our business. That's a decision for the Republican People's Party (CHP) delegate to make. That's not our concern. Every Republican People's Party (CHP) leader constantly talks about defeating the AK Party and the People's Alliance in the elections, or about winning an election victory against our President. We know very well the policies that will be used to inflict an electoral defeat on them, and we have no doubt that they will experience the same defeat in the future. But the issue here, as I said, is a debate within the CHP. Mr. Özgür Özel is unable to resolve this debate. He thinks he can cover it up by targeting the People's Alliance and our President, or he constantly calls for the streets.

Çelik, stating that CHP Chairman Özel's statements were dividing people, said,"Look, first he singled out the places where people drank coffee. 'You can drink coffee here, you can't drink coffee here,' saying things like, 'Are they AKP supporters or not?' Some fanatics, seduced by this, left. He created a form of discrimination based on this. Then he attacked the places where people bought books, saying, 'This place is close to the AKP, this place is far from it.' In fact, this mentality corresponds to a deeply disturbing attitude, like seeing those who support him as first-class citizens and those who don't support him as second-class citizens. Then, not content with that, he realized there was no one left to discriminate against, so he started picking on the fish in Sinop. In other words, if the fish in Sinop were to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, they would receive a large sum of compensation from Özgür Özel because of this discrimination."

Çelik also expressed the following regarding Özel’s statement, “We paralyze life, we make daily life unlivable”:

There's only one institution Özgür Özel has made daily life unbearable and paralyzed, and that's the Republican People's Party. He should first demonstrate his leadership skills within the Republican People's Party, and then he should tackle the streets. He tried to do the same thing last time. After all, who did he target? He tried to harm tradespeople, workers, and retirees. So, you're going to come out and say, 'I'm going to paralyze social life,' and will the public allow it? He's trying to portray this to us as peaceful protests taking place all over the world. The CHP needs to return to its true political agenda. To do that, it must first confront why the Republican People's Party has fallen into this state.
