Ukrainian Perspective and Vulnerability

"We will continue to arm Ukraine and strengthen European defenses to deter further Russian aggression. While Russia continues its war against Ukraine, we will also support strengthening sanctions and broader economic measures," the leaders of the Baltic states and NB8 express their commitment, addressing the people of Ukraine, emphasizing their determination, decisiveness, and courage since the very beginning of the war."We want you to know that you are not alone and that you can count on our support."

As reported, the NB8 countries - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland - have consistently provided military, financial and practical support to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion and have pledged to continue doing so in order to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, European security and an order based on international law.

It is also reported that Washington has proposed a plan to end the war in Ukraine, which, by all accounts, is based largely on Russian demands. It envisages not only the occupied territories remaining under Russian control, but also Ukraine's commitment not to join NATO, not to expand the alliance and Russia's return to the G8, according to a draft of the plan obtained by AFP.

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that his plan to end the war in Ukraine was not his final offer and that"one way or another" he hoped the fighting would stop.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reacted cautiously to the plan, saying he will propose"alternatives."

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said he was ready to discuss the details of the plan, but if Kiev refused, Moscow would continue the offensive in Ukraine that began in February 2022.
