Low-lying areas, riverside areas, and mountain slopes are being warned of flash floods, forest runoff, riverbank overflows, and mudslides. On August 24, 2025, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a warning to low-lying areas along rivers and on hillsides to be wary of flash floods, forest runoff, river bank overflows, and landslides. Residents in at-risk areas are urged to move belongings to higher ground, prepare to evacuate if necessary, and relocate vulnerable groups to safety. Tropical Storm Kajiki is expected to make landfall in northern Vietnam on August 25-26, 2025, and will weaken. The storm's influence will cause heavy rain and strong winds on August 24-27, 2025. In the northeastern region, Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces are advised to closely monitor official news updates.
