The price of the dollar in Colombia continues to find a floor and continues to decline. This Tuesday, September 16, the currency lost more ground and traded below 3,890 pesos.

The day opened at 3,905 pesos, showing a slight improvement, but quickly fell. Some of the prices traded were 3,870, 3,882, 3,894, 3,898, and 3,904 pesos. The highest price of the day was 3,907 pesos, and the lowest was 3,865.03 pesos.

In the end, the currency was traded at an average price of 3,882.04 pesos, 15.53 pesos less than the Representative Market Rate (TRM) of the day, which was 3,897.57 pesos.

So far in September 2025, the US dollar has continued to fall in price. It started the month with an exchange rate of 4,018.41 pesos, and this Wednesday it will be 3,881.92 pesos, meaning it will have dropped a total of 136.49 pesos in 17 days.

Furthermore, this year marks the second time that the greenback has had a TRM value of less than 3,900 pesos, but this Wednesday's rate will be the lowest of the year.

To find a price for less than 3,900 pesos, there is the one from this Tuesday, September 16 (3,897.57) and the last closest one was from May 7, 2024, the day on which the TRM was 3,894.23 pesos.

And to find one less than 3,890 pesos, you have to go back to June 4, 2024, when the TRM was 3,860.92 pesos.

While Colombia is experiencing several uncertainties, such as decertification in the anti-drug fight or fiscal instability and problems setting a budget, the problems in the United States due to President Donald Trump's trade stances are reportedly weighing more.
