Starmer has reaffirmed Britain's Ukraine support, promising to stand by Kiev, Sky News reports.

"I think we can really make progress this week on Russian oil and gas, we can really step up the pressure on Russian oil and gas," Starmer said, before mentioning new sanctions imposed by the United States this week.

The British Prime Minister added that he believes that much more can be done to help Ukraine develop the ability to use long range weapons. Zelensky wanted to secure Tomahawk missiles from the US but failed to get them at a White House meeting last week, according to Sky News.

Starmer expressed satisfaction with the frequency of their meetings and pointed out that Britain stands by Ukraine as it has always stood as its closest ally. He added that the Coalition of the Willing, which he leads, will consider"really important issues" today.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked British King Charles who received him earlier, as well as Starmer and Britain for their support to Ukraine. He said he agreed with Starmer's view that Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no intention of stopping the war.

Zelensky also mentioned a series of attacks by Moscow that paralyzed the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. He said that Putin wants a humanitarian disaster in Ukraine this winter.

"We are not alone in this situation, since the very beginning of the war, and especially now. Thank you for organizing with all partners, thank you for being with us", emphasized the president of Ukraine, to which Starmer replied:"Always".

Zelenskiy is in Britain, where he met with King Charles at Windsor Castle and British Prime Minister Keir Starmanor at Downing Street. This is the third time this year that Zelensky met with the British monarch, and the meeting was marked by a royal greeting and the playing of the Ukrainian national anthem upon his arrival in the castle yard.

Zelensky will attend a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in the afternoon, where new members will be present, including an additional 20 countries that will join the joint call for greater international cooperation and support for Ukraine.
