Israeli Attacks on Iran

Conflict Analysis and Updates

The Daily Mail, citing Marine Traffic data tracking ships, reported that the USS Nimitz nuclear-powered aircraft carrier left the South China Sea on Monday morning and headed west after canceling a planned visit to a port in central Vietnam. The ship was scheduled to visit the city of Da Nang this week, but two sources, including a diplomat, said the official reception scheduled for June 20 would be canceled. One of them said he had been informed of the change by the US embassy in Hanoi, which said the reason was

urgent operational requirement.

The United States has repeatedly stated that it is not considering joining Israel's war against Iran. US President Donald Trump has denied that his country was involved in the previous attack on Iran, but has threatened unprecedented military retaliation if America is attacked in any form.

The United States had nothing to do with tonight's attack on Iran. But if we are attacked by Iran in any way, in any form, the power of the American military will strike at a level never seen before

said Donald Trump.

The US embassy reported “minor damage”

As we reported, Iran fired rockets at several Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, early Monday. The attacks killed at least eight people, destroyed several residential buildings, and resulted in an airstrike near the U.S. embassy. Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, said the embassy suffered “minor damage” in the rocket attack on Israel.

Iranian missiles hit near our embassy, causing minor damage, but no American personnel were injured

– said the American diplomat, who asked Americans living in Israel to follow the embassy website for up-to-date information on travel advisories, airport reopenings, and diplomatic representation.

Iran may be preparing for a fatal move

Meanwhile, a bill is being prepared in the Iranian parliament with the aim of the country withdrawing from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman announced on Monday, according to MTI. Esmail Bakaei said that the proposal is being prepared, but stressed that Tehran remains opposed to the production of weapons of mass destruction. Esmail Bakaei acknowledged that the Israeli attack that began at dawn on Friday “naturally affects the state’s strategic decisions.” He pointed out that Israel launched its attack after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution condemning Iran last Thursday.

Those who voted for the resolution prepared the ground for the attack

– said the spokesman, adding that “the Zionist regime is the only state in the region that possesses weapons of mass destruction.”

Iranian President Masoud Peskov reiterated on Monday that developing nuclear weapons is against a religious decree of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme religious and political leader. Meanwhile, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said in a statement issued in Vienna on Monday that the agency “remains and will remain present in Iran to continue inspections as required by the Non-Proliferation Treaty, as soon as the security situation allows.”

The IAEA said the above-ground part of the Natanz uranium enrichment complex was destroyed in an Israeli strike last Friday. While there was no sign of physical damage to the underground facility, its power supply was disrupted, potentially damaging centrifuges. On Saturday, the IAEA also reported that the Israeli strike damaged four buildings at the Isfahan nuclear facility. Grossi said on Monday that the main laboratory, a uranium converter, a fuel assembly manufacturing plant and a section under construction were affected.
