"This is going to be a very special time. It's a really special event," Trump told reporters gathered in front of the presidential plane, Air Force One, Reuters reported.
He stated that"500,000 people gathered in Israel yesterday and today" and added that "Muslim and Arab countries celebrated, all at the same time were united in support, which has never happened before."
"Usually, if one side celebrates, the other opposes it. Now everyone is excited, delighted, and we have extraordinary moments ahead," said Trump.
In his address, Trump emphasized that his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is"good", and that Netanyahu"has done a very good job".
He also stated that Qatar should receive credit for its role in mediation, and announced the rapid formation of a"Peace Committee" tasked with the reconstruction of Gaza.
"Gaza now looks like rubble," Trump said and concluded that he was confident the truce would last.
