The United States Department of State has shared a video on its social media in Spanish, aimed at all Spanish-speaking people who have a US visa, in which it specifies the cases in which the official document can be revoked.
“Under the Trump administration, the @StateDept (State Department) is revoking visas in cases where a foreign visitor exceeds their legal period of admission, participates in criminal activity, provides material support to a terrorist organization, or violates US laws,” reads the USA en Español tweet, on X.

Days ago, the Donald Trump administration announced that it will review approximately 55 million foreign visas to determine whether they are still eligible to hold the document.
“The Department’s ongoing vetting includes the more than 55 million foreign nationals who currently hold valid U.S. visas,” a State Department official said in official information compiled by AFP.
“The State Department revokes visas whenever there are indications of potential ineligibility, such as any indication of overstay, criminal activity, threats to public safety, participation in any type of terrorist activity, or support for a terrorist organization,” he added.
This is in addition to a series of measures implemented in the country to expel as many undocumented immigrants as possible, in relation to those who have violated their permitted stay in the country.
In addition, the Trump administration has demonstrated its heavy-handed approach to ensuring the country's security and stability, pointing out that a large part of the problem is foreigners.
“We review all available information as part of our vetting process, including criminal or immigration history, or any other information that comes to light after the visa is issued and indicates possible ineligibility,” the government official added.
