All participants of the Coalition of the Willing expressed clear support for the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine and opposed the forcible change of state borders.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Facebook following the meeting, Ukrinform reports.

It was very useful. We continue to coordinate our common positions. Clear support for the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. Everyone agrees that the borders of states should not be changed by force. Everyone supports that key issues should be resolved with the participation of Ukraine in a trilateral format: Ukraine, the United States, the Russian leader, — he informed.

The Head of State emphasized that the readiness of the United States to participate in the formation of security guarantees for Ukraine is a historic decision. These guarantees, he said, should be very practical and provide protection on land, in the sky and at sea, and should also be developed with the participation of Europe.

Of course, we talked about how to stop the killings as soon as possible. We are developing a common view on what a peace agreement should be - truly honest, quick, and one that will work. Thank you!, - the President noted.

As Ukrinform reported, on August 17, Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels, where he met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. After the meeting, they joined an online meeting of the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing.

During a joint press conference with the President of the EC, the head of state stated that during the negotiations in Brussels, topics for the meeting with US President Donald Trump, which is scheduled to take place on August 18 in Washington, will be determined.
