Great tension was caused outside the courthouse of Patras during the exit of the two arrested men, aged 27 and 19, who are alleged to have committed arson in the Sychena area of Achaia.
A gathered crowd insulted and vulgarly abused them, shouting,"You burned all of Patras."
Previously and after they were charged by the prosecutor, they requested and received a deadline from the investigator to make a statement next Sunday.
He denies the charges
Almost two hours after the arrival of the first two defendants, the third was brought to court shortly before 7 pm, in order to appear before the prosecution authority to face prosecution.
According to initial information, the 25-year-old arrested man categorically denies the charges and claims that he was at the scene to help extinguish the fire.
Who are the three arrested?
Two of the arrested, aged 27 and 19, are accused of the fire in Sychena, as, according to ELAS, their involvement was identified through video footage.
The 19-year-old confessed to his act and indicated the spot where he set fire with a lighter.
The 27-year-old is reportedly claiming memory loss. However, a backpack with matches and a lighter was found in his possession.
The third of the accused, a 25-year-old man, was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, by OPKE police officers for arson in the area of the Nursing Home in Patras.
