The explosion in Osiny. The District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin issued an opinion

In the Lublin Voivodeship, on Wednesday morning, police received a report of an explosion in Osiny.

It turned out that an unidentified object had crashed into the cornfield. No one was injured in the incident, but the force of the explosion was so great that it shattered the windows of several nearby houses.

The District Prosecutor in Lublin, Grzegorz Trusiewicz, said that the findings with the participation of an expert from the scope of explosion examination indicate that"the found object is most likely a military drone."

"We can initially rule out that it was a civilian drone and we can rule out that it was a smuggling drone," the prosecutor said. He also added that there is currently no information about which country the object may have come from.

Additionally, the prosecutor announced that the investigation is being conducted  under Article 163 of the Penal Code, which refers to causing a generally dangerous event. Committing such an act is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

New information about the unidentified object that fell into the field in Osiny was provided by prosecutor Grzegorz Trusiewicz at a conference after 3 p.m.

"The military expert confirmed the findings previously made by the civilian expert. He indicated with a very high degree of probability that the drone parts indicated the use of explosives," Trusiewicz said.

It is not known what quantity and composition of the materials in question. The prosecutor reported that at the site of the fall there is an"epicenter" visible - a circle 5-6 meters in diameter and about 50 cm deep.
