More than 1,472 injured and 28 killed in Iran attacks on Israel, Netanyahu's office says

Tuesday, June 24

247 - The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday (24) that at least 1,472 people were injured and 28 died in Israel since the 13th, when the escalation of the conflict with Iran began.

"Since the beginning of the [military operation], 28 people have been killed, 1,472 have been injured, including 15 in serious condition, 58 in moderate condition and 1,399 with light injuries," the office said.

Iran has launched around 550 missiles and more than 1,000 drones at Israel since the start of the military conflict between the countries, the statement added.

According to Iran's Health Ministry, at least 606 people have been killed on Iranian territory since Israel launched the first strike on June 13.

US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire on Monday (23) between Iran and Israel. The two countries tried to send signals that they accepted it, but quickly exchanged accusations of violating the agreement.

Israel was already denounced at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), in 2024, for the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, where, according to the local Ministry of Health, at least 56,077 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have died at the hands of Israeli troops since October 7, 2023.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also been issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Even as war crimes cases stall in court, Israel has continued its offensives and tensions in the Middle East have risen.
