The public prosecutor's office in Casablanca has placed the well-known"influencer" "S. Benjelloun," nicknamed the owner of "the most expensive divorce in Morocco," under pretrial detention measures.
The King’s prosecutor at the Ain Sebaa Criminal Court of First Instance in Casablanca referred the person concerned to the local prison known as “Oukacha” on Thursday evening.
The aforementioned “influencer” was prosecuted on charges of defamation based on a complaint filed by her ex-husband with the Public Prosecution, and she was referred to a trial session this evening.
The woman sparked considerable controversy on social media, becoming known for having the “most expensive divorce in Morocco,” after she spoke in videos about her personal life and her disputes with her ex-husband over property, money, and children.
The Family Court had ordered the ex-husband of the “influencer” to pay 720,000 dirhams, divided between 700,000 dirhams as compensation for pleasure and 20,000 dirhams as compensation for housing for pleasure.
