Nicolás Petro Burgos, son of the President of the Republic, released a video this Sunday in which he rejects the veracity of conversations revealed by Vicky Dávila and describes them as a"vile setup."
The images, published by the journalist and current presidential candidate, show alleged chats between Petro Burgos and his ex-partner Day Vásquez during Gustavo Petro's 2022 presidential campaign.
In the video, Petro asserted that the images were manipulated, stating that"the images staged by Mrs. Vicky Dávila are a blatant montage."
The Vicky Dávila montage. This is an attempt at moral assassination.

He explained that the format of the screenshots does not correspond to the one used by the Prosecutor's Office in the forensic extraction of Day Vásquez's cell phone, and stated that the dates and content were inconsistent.
Petro Burgos stated that the Prosecutor's Office never searched his own phone, but only Vásquez's. He also questioned the fact that his name appears highlighted in green in the released images, which, he said, falsely suggests that the image was taken from his device."Neither did she record me as Nicolás Petro nor did I record her as Dai Vázquez at that time," he stated.
"Ms. Vicky Dávila's objective is a moral assassination against our family," he declared, announcing that he has instructed his legal team to take legal action to defend her honor.
Day Vásquez claims that chats revealed by Vicky Dávila were already in the possession of the Prosecutor's Office.
Through her X account, Daysuris Vásquez assured that the revelations made by Vicky Dávila were in the possession of the Prosecutor's Office.
"I want to inform the public that the chats published today by Vicky Dávila have been in the possession of the prosecutor's office since day one," the tweet reads.

Vicky Dávila responded again to Nicolás Petro and showed the chats
Vicky Dávila's original post included excerpts from six conversations that would be part of the criminal proceedings against Nicolás Petro.
These messages mention alleged personal and logistical incidents that would have affected the public agenda of then-presidential candidate Gustavo Petro. The chats refer to private behavior and difficulties during campaign trips.

This is a state issue. Here is the evidence the country wanted to know against Gustavo Petro. “Women, liquor, problematic parties, and more…”.

Dávila asserted that these conversations reveal relevant aspects of the current president's entourage and merit public debate.
Following the publication of Nicolás Petro's video, the presidential candidate showed the original chats from which the information had been extracted.
What do the chats between Nicolás Petro and Day Vásquez revealed by Vicky Dávila say?
The six conversations reveal alleged private actions during Gustavo Petro's then-presidential campaign, but which would have affected the public agenda of the then-candidate and current president.
The chats reveal the concern of President Gustavo Petro's son about some of his father's private behavior during his campaign visits to various municipalities across the country.
"No montage, Nicolás Petro. This is obviously a graphical representation so that Colombians can understand the conversations between you and your then-wife, Day Vásquez.
"I hope the Prosecutor's Office's form of the extract from Day's cell phone recognizes it. I published the content, even with its spelling errors," Vicky Dávila pointed out.
