Ten dead in the Strip due to the Israeli offensive in the last 24 hours

Ten Palestinians were killed—two while waiting for food distribution—and 49 others were injured in Israeli military attacks in Gaza on Wednesday, the Hamas-controlled enclave's Health Ministry reported in its latest update on Thursday.

Since Israel launched this war offensive two years ago—following the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023—Israeli forces have killed at least 67,200 Gazans (mostly civilians) and injured nearly 169,900, according to the Gaza Health Department's daily tally.

Of the total, 2,615 people have been killed while trying to obtain food at the controversial distribution points run by the US-based Gaza Humanitarian Fund or on the roads used by the few trucks allowed into Israel.

In addition, 19,177 Palestinians have been injured in these circumstances, many by gunshot wounds, as Israeli troops had the green light to fire in order to"disperse" the masses near these distribution centers.

The incessant Israeli bombing has been reduced since early Monday morning, as part of indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States. These negotiations concluded today with an agreement between the parties for a ceasefire that must be ratified this afternoon by the Netanyahu government. (Efe)
