Serbia defeated Portugal 80:69 (23:19, 20:14, 21:16, 16:20) in a Group A match in Riga on Friday, earning their second victory in two games at the 2025 European Championship.
The game ended prematurely for Serbia captain Bogdanovic, who did not play in the second half due to an injury. He suffered a hamstring injury.
"Meridian Sport" reports that Bogdanovic underwent tests and the results were received on Saturday morning.
However, US medical personnel will need to determine the severity of the injury, taking into account the NBA's insurance policy.
Therefore, it is currently unclear whether Bogdanovic will be able to continue participating in the"EuroBasket 2025" tournament.
An hour and a half before the start of the game, it was announced that Bogdanović would not take the field in the match against the Latvian national team on Saturday.
Bogdanovic played less than 15 minutes in the match against Portugal, during which he scored seven points (2p. 2/2, 3p. 1/2), grabbed five rebounds and committed three fouls.
In the first game of the tournament, Bogdanovic scored 11 points (2p. 3/3, 3p. 1/2, free throws 2/2) and had seven assists in a win over Estonia.
Bogdanovic has been playing in the NBA every day since 2017. He began his career on the other side of the ocean with the Sacramento Kings, continued with the Atlanta Hawks, and was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in February of this year.
Bogdanovic has been the Serbian national team's all-time leading scorer since last year, scoring over 1,100 points for the national team.
Latvian and Serbian basketball players will face off on Saturday (starting at 6:00 p.m.).
