On September 5, 2025, after the 20th meeting of the 26th House of Representatives (first regular annual session) with a special agenda of urgent matters to consider and approve the person who should be appointed as Prime Minister according to Section 159 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, there were 311 votes in support for Mr. Anutin to be the 32nd Prime Minister.

The latest developments regarding the cabinet formation plan for Prime Minister-elect Anutin, or the Anutin 1 Cabinet, will see Anutin serve as Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. Reports also indicate that as long as Anutin remains in office, no one will be able to usurp the Interior Ministry. On the day Anutin left the Interior Ministry, reports suggested he did not pay respects to the ministry's sacred spirits, as many believed he would return to the Ministry.

As for the Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Songsak Thongsri and Ms. Sabida Thaiset are also included.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, will be given the opportunity to become the new Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi has been moved to the position of Minister of Digital Economy and Society.

For the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn will be appointed as the Minister, while Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, MP for Ang Thong, will be named as the new Minister, serving as Minister to the Prime Minister's Office.

While the coalition government, the Kla Tham Party, has secured seven seats, it has proposed Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao for the position of Minister of Defense. However, the Palang Pracharath Party also sought this position, along with Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, and Akara Prompao, Minister of Social Development and Human Security.

As for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (Mr. Suchart Chomklin's group), Mr. Suchart has the opportunity to sit as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. In addition, Petty Officer 1st Class Yotsingh Liamlert, Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Commerce, has been named as Minister of Industry.

While Mr. Sakda Wichiensilp, a Pheu Thai Party MP who has brought 8 Pheu Thai Party MPs to join the government, is expected to receive one ministerial position as appropriate.

The Palang Pracharath Party has been allocated four ministerial positions. Santi Promphat will be appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, while General Nat Inthacharoen will serve as Minister of Defense. The remaining two positions are deputy ministers, but the allocation is still pending for appropriate coalition parties.

In addition, there are five ministries in the central quota: the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Energy, which will be the outsider quota.
