The Latvian/Taiwanese duo defeated Georgian tennis player Oksana Kalashnikova and Russian Elena Pridankina 6-2, 6-3 in the first round, but in the second round they defeated the international duo Marta Kostyuka (Ukraine)/Elena Ruse (Romania) 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, who were defeated in the first round by Latvian tennis player Anastasija Sevastova paired with Belgian tennis player Janina Wickmayer 4-6, 4-6.

In the third round, or round of 16, Ostapenko/Xie defeated the international duo of Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova and Chinese Zhang Shuai 6-4, 6-0. In the quarterfinals, they defeated Romanian Sorana Cirstea and Russian Anna Kalinskaya 6-7 (4:7), 6-3, 6-2, but in the semifinals, they defeated the top-seeded Czech Kateryna Siniakova and American Taylor Townsend 7-5, 6-4.

Last year, Ostapenko reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in doubles with Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok. Ostapenko's previous best result in doubles at this Grand Slam tournament was the semifinals in 2022.

It was previously reported that both Ostapenko and Sevastova suffered losses in the first round of singles. Another Latvian tennis player, Darya Semenistaja, suffered a loss in the third round of qualifying.
