Jerusalem/Gaza – The terrorist organization Hamas has apparently once again violated the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered"massive attacks." His office announced this late Tuesday afternoon following security consultations.

Previously, several Israeli media outlets and the US broadcaster Fox had reported that Palestinian terrorists had allegedly fired on Israeli soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli troops returned fire, the Times of Israel, among others, reported, citing anonymous sources.

The Israeli army has not yet officially confirmed the incident, so the details of the alleged Hamas attack remain unclear.

In response to Netanyahu's attack order, Hamas postponed the handover of a hostage's body that it claimed to have found today in a tunnel in Khan Yunis.

Terrorists killed two Israeli soldiers

Palestinian terrorists had already violated the ceasefire a week and a half ago. They had fired, among other things, an anti-tank missile at soldiers in the southern Rafah area. The Islamists killed two soldiers, Yaniv Kula (26) and Itay Yavetz (21). Three other soldiers were wounded shortly thereafter.

In response, Israel's army launched airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The military also killed an employee of a ZDF partner company, who has now been identified as a Hamas terrorist. A few hours later, the Israeli military reinstated the ceasefire and made it clear that it would respond forcefully to any further violations.

A ceasefire has been in effect between Israel and Hamas since October 10. This was the result of negotiations led by US President Donald Trump (79). As part of the ceasefire, Hamas handed over all living hostages to Israel. However, the Islamists are delaying the return of the murdered hostages. They were supposed to be handed over to Israel at the same time as the living ones. The bodies of 13 hostages are still in Gaza.
