A statement issued by the Attorney General of the King at the Court of Appeal in Casablanca, which Hespress received on Saturday, indicated that the Public Prosecution was notified of the death of “Sion Assidon”, and ordered, within the framework of the investigation it is supervising, a medical autopsy to be performed on the body of the deceased, which was entrusted to a three-member medical committee consisting of forensic medicine specialists.

The source stressed that this step comes in accordance with the statement issued by this Public Prosecution on August 19, regarding the deceased “Sion Shimon Harim Brokh Asdon”, who was found at the time in his home in a state of unconsciousness and was subsequently transferred to the hospital, where “the Public Prosecution had at that time directed its instructions to the judicial police to conduct an investigation regarding this incident, the results of which were communicated to the public at the time.”

The statement explained that “the autopsy results showed that the death was caused by septic complications of a traumatic head injury, which resulted in bleeding in the meninges of the brain, cerebral contusions, and a skull fracture. These conclusions support the hypothesis that the deceased fell from the ladder while trimming his garden, which is supported by the initial findings of the investigation in this regard.”

The statement from the Attorney General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal concluded by stating that “the Public Prosecutor’s Office will take the appropriate legal decision as soon as the investigations are completed.”
