Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ivan Anušić reiterated today the position that official Zagreb will not send soldiers to Ukraine.
"Croatia's position is clear, the Croatian army will not go to Ukraine," said Anušić and added that Croatia will continue to help Ukraine in everything it has done so far.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who participated in the virtual meeting of the so-called Coalition of the Willing, said earlier that the meeting was dedicated to further peace efforts and activities aimed at ending Russian aggression against Ukraine, Croatian media reported.
Croatia is a member of the Coalition of the Willing, which brings together about thirty European countries, Canada and Australia.
Plenković also recently stated that Croatian soldiers will not go to Ukraine, nor was that ever on the table.
French President Emmanuel Macron after yesterday's meeting with the so-called The Coalition of the Willing announced that twenty-six countries, except Italy, are ready to participate in international forces as part of security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement with Russia.
