Fico joked in front of Putin, smiled, and compared the EU to a frog.

BRATISLAVA. The very first words that Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer) addressed to the Russian President Vladimir Putin sitting next to him in front of the cameras did not bear any signs of a sovereign Slovak foreign policy, as the Slovak Prime Minister constantly presents it.
Fico heard from Putin that countries in Eastern Europe should stop supplying Ukraine with electricity and gas in response to the damage to Russian energy infrastructure, through which Slovakia also draws supplies.
"This will show them the limits of their behavior," Putin said of Ukraine. Fico had said shortly before that he was not coming to Putin with any message.
"I don't know if I should bring a message from here. I would welcome basic information about where we are and what we can expect," he indirectly suggested to Putin.
The EU is a frog in the well for Fico
"I have a very uncomfortable question to begin with," Fico began, then took a dramatic pause while looking at Putin."How are you?" the Slovak prime minister finally said, a grin on his face.
"I'm alive and that's good," Putin replied with a smile. Laughter can be heard in the hall with other members of the delegations of both politicians sitting, including Fico.
After Putin's response, the Slovak Prime Minister added:"Thank you very much."
