The President of Ukraine announced this on social networks.
"Yesterday, together with all partners, today in a bilateral format, we discussed what is expected from the meeting in Alaska and possible perspectives," Zelensky said.
"Security guarantees have also been discussed in some detail, which could make peace truly sustainable if the United States succeeds in forcing Russia to completely stop the killings and engage in truly meaningful diplomacy," the president said.
During the conversation, investments in Ukrainian drone production were discussed.
"We have significant potential to increase production, and this requires urgent funding. Drones play a crucial role on the front line," Zelensky said.
"Ukraine's capabilities to produce them are extraordinary. Therefore, investments in such production can really make a difference at a strategic level. We are working on this issue together with Great Britain and all partners," the Ukrainian president emphasized.
On Friday, talks between United States President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are scheduled in the US state of Alaska.
During the course of this, Trump is expected to demand that Putin stop the war in Ukraine.
