This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by V. Zelensky at a press conference after the"Coalition of the Willing" meeting in Paris.
"American partners told us that Putin invited me to Moscow. I think if you want the meeting not to happen, you should invite me to Moscow," Zelensky said.
At the same time, he noted that if Russia started talking about a meeting, that's already good.
"But so far we don't see their desire to end the war. And adult leaders should come out of a meeting at this level with some result, preferably an end to the war," the president added.
Ukraine is ready for negotiations at the leadership level in any format, but the Kremlin's actions demonstrate its unwillingness to engage in a real dialogue and end the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference in Paris, according to a correspondent for the Ukrinform news agency.
"A meeting with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin is necessary. It is not a matter of desire, but of necessity. We support such a meeting in any format: trilateral or bilateral," Zelensky said. He also noted that Russia is doing everything to postpone this meeting.
Putin invited Zelensky to Moscow
We remind you that yesterday, September 3, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that he"does not rule out" the possibility of meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Regarding meetings with Zelensky, I did not rule out the possibility of such meetings, do these meetings have any meaning?" he said.
Putin added that Zelensky should come to Moscow if he is"ready" to hold a meeting.
"If Zelensky wants, if he is ready, let him come to Moscow, we will meet," the Russian dictator said.
