President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the NATO summit in The Hague in classic clothes, but did not abandon the military style at all.

A video of the Ukrainian leader's arrival at the summit has surfaced online. He did not appear in his usual militarized khakis, but opted for a more formal suit.

Zelenskyy wore a jacket, linen shirt, and pants that look classic but still have military features.

Recall that Zelensky has worn something resembling a business suit only a few times during Russia's full-scale war with Ukraine. In May of this year, during a visit to Berlin, the Ukrainian leader appeared in public in a black suit, although not a classic one. He wore the same suit to the funeral of Pope Francis and the inauguration of Pope Leo.

Discussions around Zelensky's clothes

Zelensky's informal attire has repeatedly sparked debate in the media and politics. The most scandalous incident occurred in February of this year, when Zelensky visited the White House and entered the public dispute with Donald Trump.

Axios reported that US President Donald Trump was angry even before the argument with Zelensky because of the Ukrainian president's attire. Trump's advisers allegedly asked Zelensky's team to have the Ukrainian leader arrive at the meeting in a business suit, but he arrived at the White House in a more formal black suit with the national symbol of Ukraine. The two presidents are meeting today.

A journalist from RSBN reproached the Ukrainian president for he didn't wear a suit . Zelenskyy replied:"I will wear it when our war ends. Maybe the same as yours. Maybe better. Maybe cheaper. We'll see!".
