Aboul Gheit condemns Israeli attacks on Qatar: a blatant and completely unacceptable violation of Doha's sovereignty.

Tuesday, September 9

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned in the strongest terms the attacks launched by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Qatari capital, Doha.

In a statement issued by the Arab League today, Aboul Gheit stated that Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned in the strongest terms the attack launched, and claimed by Israel, on civilian residential buildings in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesman for the Secretary-General, said that the targeting is a flagrant and completely unacceptable violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, which has sought, since the beginning of the war on Gaza, with both Egypt and the United States, to mediate a ceasefire and has exerted remarkable and sincere efforts to put an end to the war of extermination that Israel continues to wage in Gaza.

He added that the Arab League stands in solidarity with the State of Qatar against this blatant attack on its sovereignty, and with any measures it takes to protect its sovereignty and safeguard its security.

The spokesman emphasized that Israeli behavior has become a violation of all established international norms and the principles of established international law, placing a firm responsibility on the international community to deal with this state, which flouts the law and is indifferent to the consequences of its shameful actions.
