NEWS ANALYSIS: On Monday, President Donald Trump appeared in the White House press room himself. He brought with him some of his closest top people, including the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Justice.
He described the situation on the streets of Washington in grim terms. “Our capital has been taken over by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals,” he said.
