National coach Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national football team, revealed today, Thursday, the final list of players he will rely on in the upcoming edition of the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco between December 21 and January 18.
The Moroccan national team is competing in Group A alongside the Comoros, Mali and Zambia, in the capital Rabat.
The following is the list of “Atlas Lions” participating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which included 26 players, in addition to the players on the reserve list:
Goalkeepers: Yassine Bounou, Munir El Kajoui Mohamedi, Mehdi El Harrar.
Defense: Achraf Hakimi, Mohamed Chibi, Jawad El Yamiq, Romain Saiss, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Nayef Aguerd, Adam Masina, Noussair Mazraoui and Anas Salaheddine.
Midfielders: Oussama Targhalin, Sofyan Amrabat, Ismail Sibari, Bilal El Khannous, Nael El Aynaoui and Azzedine Ounahi.
Attackers: Ibrahim Diaz, Ilias Akhomach, Chemseddine Talbi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Ayoub El Kaabi, Soufiane Rahimi, Abdessamad Zalzouli, and Ilyas Bensghir. Reserves: Youssef Belamri and Hamza Ighmane.
It is noted that the Moroccan national team will meet the Comoros Islands in the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, December 21, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, starting at 8 pm Moroccan time.
