Russian Response and Medvedev's Threats

Trump-Zelensky Diplomatic Meetings

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Kaya Callas, arrived in Kyiv today to discuss financial and military aid, energy security, and Russia's responsibility for war crimes with Ukrainian officials.

At a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibih, Kalas announced that the EU has already provided 800 million euros to support Ukraine during the winter, primarily for the purchase of generators, while an additional 100 million euros is planned for equipment and shelters in low-temperature conditions, the Pershi channel of the Ukrainian public service reports.

In addition, the European Union allocated 10 million euros to support the work of the special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as 6 million euros to help children and victims of sexual violence.

"Russia has destroyed any hope for a quick peace, which is why the EU is planning long-term support for Ukraine," Kalas said.

As she pointed out, the EU provided two billion euros for the procurement of drones, and the mandate of the EU civilian mission in Ukraine will be expanded to include cyber security and support for veterans.

"Due to the prolongation of the war, we have to use all sources of financing. We are considering a reparation loan based on frozen Russian assets. Russia must pay for this war, not European taxpayers," said the head of European diplomacy.
