It is a revised version of the previous proposal of Hamas, the source said.

Earlier today, Al Arabiya channel reported, citing a well-informed source, that Hamas submitted its response to mediators,"confirming that Hamas and the factions agreed to a new ceasefire proposal without requiring any changes."

A Palestinian official said mediators proposed an initial 60-day truce and the release of two hostages.

According to the Saudi TV channel, the new proposal is a compromise between a complete end to the war and a temporary truce.

The Palestinian movement Hamas has agreed to release half of the Israeli hostages it is holding in the Gaza Strip in exchange for a certain number of Palestinian prisoners, the Egyptian television channel Al-Cairo reported, citing sources.

The proposal envisages a temporary suspension of military operations for 60 days, during which a certain number of Palestinian prisoners will be exchanged for half the number of Israeli detainees.

The exchange will include the release of 10 live detainees and half of the 36 bodies, for a total of 18 bodies.

They noted that the proposal includes the redeployment of Israeli forces to allow humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip, and the start of talks on a comprehensive agreement or a permanent ceasefire.

Egyptian sources estimated that the Palestinian movement Hamas considers the proposal the best available option to protect the residents of the Gaza Strip and the beginning of a comprehensive solution that will protect the residents of the Strip from military escalation.
